Adding a New System User and Enabling API Access
If you are establishing an integration that requires API Access, you can create a new System User account for the integration. This section of the guide walks you through the new System User account creation process, as well as enabling the API Access feature for the new user.
To create a new System User account and enable API Access for the new User:
1. Select the Settings Cog and then select User Management on the drop-down menu.
2. On the User Management page, select Add New User.
3. On the New System User page:
- a) In the User Information section, enter the new user's Email Address, First Name, and Last Name.
- b) In the Neon CRM Access section, select the new user's User Group from the drop-down menu and, if applicable, select the checkbox labeled This user is part of the CRM Implementation Team.
- c) In the API Access section, select the API Access toggle to the "On" position.
4. Select Create User.
All administrators will receive an email to let them know of the new System User. The newly created System User will receive an email shortly after their account is created to request that they establish a password for their account, per the sample email image below (see the second image below). Once the new System User has completed this password-creation process, the new account has been successfully created, and the API Access has been successfully enabled for the new user.
Note: If the new System User does not receive this email or fails to open the email and create a password within 24 hours, you may resend the email. Please see the next section in this article for this process.
