Creating an Email Template
1. Navigate to Settings Icon and Select Global Settings
2. Under Communications, select Email Themes.
3. Select New Email Theme and then New Email Theme .
You can create a template as a starting point for any email type you’d like to send. The list below are templates that have already been built.
4. Complete Theme Settings. All email themes have a few basic settings. Complete these fields and select Next.
Field Name | Description |
Theme Name | Name your theme so that you can easily identify it later. |
Set as Default Theme | If the toggle is turned on, this template will become your default option when building new System Emails. |
5. Complete the Email Settings section.
Field Name | Description |
Display "View Online" Link | This will provide a link for users to view this email on a web browser if the user cannot view the email in their inbox. |
Display Unsubscribe Link | This is highly recommended for templates that will be used for Email Campaigns. It is not recommended for System Email themes because users cannot unsubscribe from receiving System Emails. |
6. Complete the Social Media Links section.
Field Name | Description |
Display Social Media Links | You can choose to display social media links in your email themes, either at the top (above header) or bottom (below footer). You can also set these icons as dark or light. |
Display "Share" link | This adds a link next to the social media links that allows recipients to easily share this email. You can also set these icons as dark or light. |
Social Media Option | Enter the social media icon and URL under Type. You can add as many links as you want by selecting Add Another Type. |
7. Complete Email Styles.
Field Name | Description |
Text Defaults | Sets a default font for the Heading and Body. If you choose a different font in the text editor, it will trump this setting. Please bear in mind that setting fonts in emails is generally unreliable across email clients. |
Background Colors | Choose the background color for the header, body, footer, and backdrop. |
Content | This settings adjusts the spacing between content blocks. |
8. The header, body, and footer section are on the right side of the screen. You can edit the header and footer using the WYSIWYG feature. The body section is not highly configurable because it will be populated by the content you create when setting up System Emails or Campaign Emails.
9.When finished editing your theme, select Save & Close.
