One of the most well-known ways to increase fundraising is to run matching campaigns, where every donation is matched. Studies have consistently shown that people who received appeals with a matching grant were significantly more likely to donate and the average donation was significantly higher than those who received no matching offer (for example, see this famous study). Neon Fundraise enables organizations to take advantage of this opportunity by allowing any donor (or administrator) to submit a match on an ongoing campaign, thereby spurring more donation activity from subsequent donors.
Here's how it works in a nutshell:
- Administrators can enable matching on their campaigns, and configure their campaigns to encourage donors to create matches.
- Donors and administrators can create matches, optionally with complex settings.
- Once a match is active, site visitors and potential donors are informed of the match and are encouraged to donate. When a donor donates, a matching donation is automatically generated to match.
- Administrators and donors can view and report on match activity.
