Change Recurring Plan Method
Donors can now change payment methods associated with a recurring donation plan. Methods associated with a recurring donation plan are displayed on the plan record. Donors click the “Change” button above the method to choose a different saved method or enter a new method.
This gives donors the ability to update an expired or otherwise declined credit card to an active one to enable their recurring plan to resume charging.
This feature will be available to all donors with recurring plans and those in the future (excluding those which are charged through WePay).
Improvements
- Payment methods associated with recurring plans are now displayed in the Donor Portal on the plan record itself.
- Payment methods only associated with recurring plans will no longer appear in the Payment Methods tab in the donor portal.
Upcoming
- Activities related to recurring plans will be added to the Activity Stream in the Org Admin. These include: plan created, paused, resumed, ended, failed, and modified.
- A new "Mobile Pay" column will be added to transaction and donation reports to indicate if a payment was processed through Apple Pay or Google Pay.
