Organizations can configure their sites such that fundraisers and team captains can modify their personal and team page messages and post to their fundraiser feed using either a plain text editor or a rich text editor. The plain text editor only allows basic text, while the rich text editor allows fundraisers to use styled text, including font, sizing, and colors, as well as upload images and embed content from third party services.
Administrators can configure the fundraiser text editor on your campaigns in the Admin, under Fundraising > Fundraising Settings. Please note that while there are some restrictions in place to ensure uploaded and embedded media are responsive by default, by adding a rich text editor, fundraisers may be able to design their page in ways that may be unanticipated and possibly undesired by the organization, especially if pages are expected to conform to a specific brand style. Furthermore, while we have implemented rigorous security measures around the rich text editor, the plain text editor does have security advantages, something that should be taken into account when making this decision.
Below is a list of features fundraisers can take advantage of using the rich text editor:
- Undo/Redo
- Bold
- Italicize
- Underline
- Strikethrough
- Copy/paste
- Remove formatting
- Numbered list
- Bulleted list
- Text alignment
- Font
- Size
- Color
- Link/Unlink
- Media
- Embed PDF
- Insert HTML

- Click the "PDF Embed" icon (looks like a document) in the rich text editor
- Click "Upload"
- Select a PDF from within the user's device and click "Upload to Library"
- After a few seconds, the popup will automatically switch to the PDF Info tab, where the embed code will be displayed in the "URL" field. Users can modify the width and height of the PDF embed (iframe) area.
- Click "OK" to embed the content
To embed external content, users should follow these steps:
