Many fundraising events hosted on Neon Fundraise are oriented around an accompanying endurance activity: walks, marathons, bike-a-thons, and even non-fitness challenges like cookathons, readathons, and baking competitions. Engaging fundraisers in an endurance activity can boost their advocacy efforts and, in turn, increase their fundraising success. To assist organizations in combining endurance and fundraising efforts, administrators can create Endurance Challenges to which fundraisers can log progress and donors can pledge per unit of activity completed. The system is simple yet powerful — it supports standard challenges like walks and marathons, but can be used for more creative applications like general fitness challenges and non-fitness challenges like those mentioned above.
Here's how it works in a nutshell:
- An administrator creates a challenge in the Admin
- Fundraisers can then edit their endurance goal, connect a fitness app, and log activities towards the challenge in their Fundraiser Dashboard
- Donors can pledge to donate an amount per unit of activity completed, and are charged for the total amount at the end of the challenge
- Site visitors and users can view endurance progress in various widgets on the campaign homepage and fundraising pages
- Administrators can track endurance progress and pledges in grids and reports in the Admin
