This applies to any organization that have embedded one or multiple Neon Fundraise donation forms onto their site prior to October 10, 2019. On October 10th, 2019, updates were made to the Neon Fundraise website to improve the user experience. As a result of those updates, below are recommended changes to be made by Neon Fundraise clients. Those steps are outlined below:
Request
Update Neon Fundraise Javascript URLS for improved availability of embedded donation & ticket forms.
Who is affected?
Customers using Neon Fundraise-provided Javascript snippets to embed donation or ticket forms within their self-managed website.
Why is this necessary?
Javascript snippets provided by Neon Fundraise may access additional resources using our corporate website domain (rallybound.com). This introduces a dependency on our corporate website’s hosting infrastructure (which is managed separately from our primary fundraising product) that can negatively impact the availability of customer fundraising pages.
What do I need to do?
Ask your webmaster to update your javascript snippet by replacing all references to “rallybound.com” with “cdn3.rallybound.com”.
When you build a new donation page in the future, all you need to do is to follow these instructions to embed your forms https://support.neonone.com/hc/en-us/articles/4417979787021-How-to-embed-a-donation-page-on-my-site
If you are unable to make these changes your embedded donation forms will continue to work; however, we highly recommend that you make these changes as soon as possible to eliminate any potential risk in the future.
