Security Permissions

Neon Fundraise allows organizations to manage different security roles across an organization, groups, and campaigns. Each role can be tailored to provide granular permissions to specific administrator destinations and capabilities. This is done by setting a specific permission item to the desired permission level, which include Delete, Edit, View, or None. The level can also be set on a category (like Transactions or People), and that will set all the permission items in the category.

Not all permission levels apply to all permission items. These will be indicated below with "N/A". If a level which is not applicable is set on a given item, the item will provide the next permission available.

Campaign Details

Campaign

Controls access to manage the campaign itself in the Admin for campaigns on which, and on groups within which, an administrator has access. Campaigns also provides access to the Activity and Statistics tabs, as well as the Organization > Automation tab.

  • Delete: Create new campaign or group; delete group; replicate, end, relaunch, or reactivate a campaign. Create automation action to end campaigns in Organization > Automation (also requires Admin Users permission).
  • Edit: Edit entity information; move campaign or group between groups (requires permission to a higher group that includes the origin and destination); Publish or delist campaign
  • View: View campaign in Admin
  • None: Can't access campaign

Custom Campaign Fields

Controls access to custom campaign fields, which appear on the campaign details page in the Admin.

  • Delete: N/A

  • Edit: View and edit custom campaign fields

  • View: View custom campaign fields

  • None: Can't view custom campaign fields

Transactions

Donations

Controls access to the Transactions > Donations tab in the Admin.

  • Delete: Delete, refund, and partially refund donations, move donations between campaigns (requires this permission on original campaign and destination)
  • Edit: Create new donation, modify donation information
  • View: View donations in Admin
  • None: Can't access Transactions > Donations tab

Recurring Donations

Controls access to the Transactions > Recurring Donations tab in the Admin.

  • Delete: End, modify, delete recurring donation plan, change payment method on recurring plan
  • Edit: Create new recurring plans, edit recurring donation details
  • View: View recurring donations in Admin (legacy: end recurring donation)
  • None: Can't access Transactions > Recurring Donations tab

Tickets

Controls access to the Transactions > Tickets tab in the Admin.

  • Delete: Delete purchased tickets (this applies the amount paid as a donation)
  • Edit: Modify information on purchased tickets
  • View: View purchased tickets in Admin
  • None: Can't access Transactions > Tickets tab

Registrations

Controls access to the Transactions > Registrations tab in the Admin.

  • Delete: Delete, refund, partially refund registrations, convert registration to donation
  • Edit: Modify registration information
  • View: View registrations in Admin
  • None: Can't access Transactions > Registrations tab

Matches

Controls access to the Transactions > Matches tab in the Admin.

  • Delete: Delete matches
  • Edit: Create, modify matches
  • View: View matches in Admin
  • None: Can't access Transactions > Matches tab

Endurance Pledges

Controls access to the Transactions > Endurance Pledges tab in the Admin.

  • Delete: Delete pledges
  • Edit: Create pledges
  • View: View pledges in Admin
  • None: Can't access Transactions > Endurance Pledges tab

Admin Users

Controls access to the Administrator interfaces in the Admin.

  • Delete, when applied to entire organization: Add, delete security roles
  • Edit, when applied to entire organization: Modify existing security roles
  • Edit: Change administrator's security role for a given entity, invite new administrators, add and/or remove administrators from entity (organization, group or campaign)
  • View: View administrators, permissions and roles
  • None: Can't access Administrator interfaces or popups in Admin

People

Contacts

Controls access to the People > Contacts tab in the Admin.

  • Delete: Delete contact, reset registrant password
  • Edit: Create contact, update contact information
  • View: View contacts
  • None: Can't access People > Contacts tab

Donors

Controls access to the People > Donors tab in the Admin.

  • Delete: Create donor account

Registrants
