Enabling the Campaign Goal Meter
To enable the campaign goal meter:
1. Select Fundraising in the navigation menu and then select Fundraising Campaigns on the drop-down menu.
2. Select your campaign on the Campaigns list page.
3. Select Goal Meter in the menu on the left side of the campaign Overview page.
4. On the Goal Meter page, select the Goal Meter Widget toggle to the "On" position.
The Add Supported Domains pop-up will appear.
5. In the Supported Domains field on the pop-up, enter the web domain(s) on which this goal meter will be embedded. This is a security feature to ensure your web domain(s) allow the goal meter to be embedded within the domain (enter the domain as "www.exampledomain.com"). If you need to enter multiple domains, separate each domain name with a comma.
6. Select Confirm.
Configuring the Campaign Goal Meter
Once you enable the goal meter widget, you can then configure the goal meter to meet your organization's needs. In this guide, let's simply examine each configuration option section on the Goal Meter page from top to bottom.
Please note: The first item below the Goal Meter Widget toggle is a preview of the goal meter (as seen in the image below). As you make changes per the following steps, you can see the changes you make to the goal meter in this preview area in real-time.
To start, the goal meter in this guide, by default, appears as shown below in the Preview section. As you progress through this guide, you will see how the various configuration options will change the look of this goal meter.
Note: The remainder of this guide will take a closer look at each section of the Goal Meter page individually from top to bottom. Each section is followed by a preview of the goal meter to show the available changes you can make to the goal meter in the corresponding section of the Goal Meter page.
1. In the Campaign Branding section:
- a) You may upload a picture to include on the goal meter. Either select the Click to Upload link to select your image on your computer or drag and drop the image into the space provided. In the second image below, an image has been added to the goal meter.
- b) You may adjust the Goal Meter Color. This color adjustment changes the color of the goal meter linear line (or circle, if selected in a later step) and the various buttons which you have the option to add later in this process. Notice, in the second image below, the goal meter "goal line" color has been adjusted to now appear as a tan color.
2. In the Donation Form and Button Style section:
- a) You may link a donation form to this goal meter by selecting the applicable donation form in the Neon CRM Form drop-down menu. Notice, in the second image below, since a donation form has been selected, a "Donate" button now appears in the same color selected in the previous step.
- b) If you wish to change the text that appears on the button, enter the text you wish to appear on the button in the Button Label field under the Button Style heading. By default, the text of "Donate" will appear, as seen in the second image below.
3. In the Call to Action section, you may add a short campaign tagline or message on the goal meter. In the second image below, a short message has been added to the goal meter.
4. In the Campaign Landing Page section, if you created a landing page for your campaign:
- a) You may include a button that connects to the landing page on the goal meter. Notice, in the images below, since the Include link to Campaign Landing Page toggle has been selected to the "On" position in the first image below, a new button appears on the goal meter in the second image below with the "Campaign Details" label in the color selected in Step 1 above.
- b) If you wish to change the text that appears on the button, enter the text you wish to appear on the button in the Button Label field under the Button Style heading. By default, the text of "Campaign Details" will appear, as seen in the second image below.
5. In the next section:
- Under the Display heading on the image below, you may select if you wish to include the following information on the goal meter: (if you wish to include the information, select the toggle(s) to the "On" position next to the applicable data you wish to display on the goal meter - for this guide, none of these options have been selected)
-
- Sub-Campaign amount totals
- Open Pledges (or pledges not yet fulfilled/paid)
- Event Registration numbers (if applicable)
- A list of Recent Donations
-
- In the Goal Meter Style section on the first image below, you may select to have the goal meter appear as a linear line (the default setting as seen in the second image below) or as a circle (as seen in the third image below). Notice that the green leaf image added in Step 1 above does not appear if you select the circular option.
6. In this guide, let's skip the Supported Domains section, as this is the same information entered in the Add Supported Domains pop-up that appears when you selected the Goal Meter Widget to the "On" position at the start of this process. You may add additional domains here, if needed.
7. The Embed Code section contains the Javascript code you may use to embed the goal meter on your website. The code will only work on those web domains included in the Supported Domains section. You may copy this code and embed it as applicable.
8. Select Save at the bottom of the page when all configurations have been made.
You have finished enabling and configuring your goal meter for your campaign!
