Learn how to navigate Grants in this step-by-step guide. Grants can be used to track the process of researching, applying to, and receiving grants. Using the Grants feature, you can attach relevant documents, track status, and create activities for the steps necessary to manage the grant process.

Viewing Grants
1. Select Moves Management in the navigation menu and then select Grants.
You will now see the Grants list page. On this page, you can filter the list of grants by nearly any data field. To filter the Grants information:
2. Select one of the filters on the left side above the Grants list. You may also save your filters, as needed.
On the Grants list page, you can bulk update by:
3. Selecting the checkbox(es) next to the Grant(s) you wish to update.
4. On the menu that appears (per the red box in the image below), select Update Status, Update Assignee, or Delete Grant(s), as applicable.
Creating Grants
When you create a grant, you are creating a record used to track a process. Neon CRM will create a record of the grant on the grant maker's record.
1. On the Grants list page, select New Grant.
2. Complete the fields per the images and table below (all fields marked with an asterisk are required). When finished, select Create Grant.

File Upload |
You can attach a file to a grant. This file will remain with the grant, and can be accessed by staff users only. Click Browse to select a file, then click Upload to attach it. Note: You must have the Files Module as part of your subscription in order to upload and attach files. |
Custom Fields
1. You can create Grant Custom Fields by navigating to the Settings Cog in the upper right corner of the page and then select Global Settings.
2. Under the Moves Management heading, select Grant Custom Fields.
3. Select New Custom Field.
4. Enter the field name, display type, and data type. When finished, select Save.
5. Your new custom field will be listed on the Grant Custom Fields page.
Copying Grants
You have the ability to copy existing grants. This will also allow you to create recurring grants. For example, you may want to copy an existing grant for the next 5 years. To do this:
1. Select the three dot Action Menu button next to the Grant you would like to copy. Then select Copy Grant.
2. A pop-up will display. Choose to copy just once or multiple times. Complete all applicable information. When finished, select Copy Grant.
Splitting Grants
Similar to split donations, you can use this if multiple Campaign/Fund/Purpose allocations are needed for a Grant.
The original Grant will be retained but can be filtered out in the Grants Report and Grants Forecast Widget via new settings. The Grants list has a Hierarchy View button to see the relationships between parent and child grants.
Reporting on Grants
1. The Grants Report allows you to view detailed information on each grant. You can find this report by going to Reports and selecting New Report.
2. Select Moves Management and select Grants Report.
3. You can search this report by basic data associated with the related account, or by specific grant data.
4. The available output columns allow you to see most details about each grant in your report:
5. In addition, "Grant" search category, criteria, and output columns are available in the below account based reports.

A limited selection of output columns only is available in the Activity Report.
Grants Detail Page
There are a variety of tables on the Grant details page that you can utilize.
Funding
You are able to link multiple pledges and/or donations to a grant. Here you are able to view all the linked relationships within donation & pledge records and their associated pages.
Activities
Here you are able to Add an activity or Activity Template to a Grant.
Grant Report Tracking
Enter and manage funder reporting schedules and tasks; set reminders via Activities linked to specific reports and attach Files as needed.
