Using Date Ranges as Criteria in Reports
In this example, let's run a report that shows all donations made in the first three months of 2015, i.e., 01/01/2015 to 03/31/2015.
1. On the CRM Dashboard, select Reports in the navigation menu and then select New Report in the drop-down menu.
2. For this example, select Fundraising on the New Report pop-up.
3. Under Fundraising, select Donation Detail Report and then select Create Report.
4. Select Edit Criteria.
5. On the Edit Search Criteria screen, enter Donation Date in the search field. Select Advanced in the Select an Operator field. (Searching between specific date ranges is an Advanced search criteria feature.)
6. To create the needed date range, first select Greater & Equal in the Select an Operator field that appears upon selecting Advanced in the previous step. Then add the starting date in the blank field that appears upon selecting Greater & Equal.
7. Select Add Advanced Criterion to add the ending date of the date range to the search.
8. First, select Less & Equal in the Select an Operator field. Then, add the ending date of 03/31/2015 in the blank field that appears upon selecting Less & Equal.
9. Select Load Criteria.
10. Select Run Report.
All applicable donation data (if any) made between the dates of 01/01/2015 and 03/31/2015 will display.
