Learn how to navigate Prospects in this step-by-step guide. Prospects is Neon CRM's feature for tracking the pipeline toward a major gift or other ask. You would create a Prospect for the ask itself, then create related activities for the steps in that pipeline: phone call, lunch, event invitation, etc.

Viewing Prospects
1. Select Moves Management in the navigation menu and then select Prospects on the drop-down menu.
You now see the Prospects list page. On this page, you may:
2. Filter the information using the drop-down menus located on the left side of the page above the Prospects list; the data will automatically adjust. You may save your filters, as needed. You may also click on the column headers to sort the results.
If available in the view in which you a viewing the Prospect information, you may change the columns that appear. To do so:
3. Click Configure Columns (the pencil icon in the upper right corner of the page). Then select or deselect the checkbox(es) of the column(s) you wish to appear on the page.
From this Prospects list page, you can also perform a bulk edit of data. To do so:
4. Select the checkbox next to one or more Prospects in the list.
5. Select one of the following options that appear (per the red box in the image below): Update Status, Update Assignee, or Delete Prospect(s).
Creating Prospects
To add a new prospect, on the Prospects list page:
1. Select New Prospect.
On the New Prospect pop-up that appears:
2. Complete all applicable fields per the image and table below. (Fields marked with an asterisk are required.) When finished, select Create Prospect.

This field is used to track a Fundraiser who helped with this prospect. Only designated Peer-to-Peer Fundraisers who have a Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser page will be available in this drop-down menu.

This field is used to track a Solicitor who assisted with this prospect. Only individual accounts and system users that have been defined as solicitors will be available in this drop-down menu. The date when the client makes a pledge. |

This allows you to attach a file to a prospect, such as a Word document, PDF, or image. This file can be accessed by staff users only. Click Browse to select a file, then click Upload to attach it. |
Custom Fields
To create custom fields for your Prospect:
1. Select the Settings Cog in the upper right corner of the page and then select Global Settings.
2. Under the Moves Management heading, select Prospect Custom Fields.
3. Select New Custom Field.
4. Enter the field name, display type, and data type. When finished, select Save.
