The Ticket Scanner app enables you to scan ticket barcodes upon entry to your event. It is a free application that requires an Arts People account in order to use and is currently only available for iOS devices using iOS 10.3 or newer.
Please follow the instructions below to get started:
1. Go to the App Store on your Apple device
2. Search for “Arts People Ticket Scanner” and tap “Get”
Once the app is installed, tap the app icon from your device and you’ll be instructed to log in. Please use the instructions in this article for login instructions, the app now requires its own password, separate from your Arts People login.
On the select Performance screen, you’ll see every performance for the next 7 days. Simply scroll through the performance cards and tap on the performance you want to open for scanning.
If your performance image is blurry, try uploading a higher resolution image on the Show Setup page in your Arts People account.
If you do not see any shows or performances, this means that you do not have any events in the next 7 days. If you need to build a new event, please review these articles:
On the Scan Results screen, you’ll tap the “Scan” button at the bottom of the page to open the camera view to begin scanning.
Hold the ticket (or patron's phone displaying the barcode) up to the camera so that the red line crosses through every line in the barcode. Once scanned, you will automatically return to the Scan Results screen where you will be informed if the ticket was approved or if it was an unsuccessful scan.
To scan another ticket, you'll tap the “Scan” button below again.
To log out of the ticket scanner app, tap on the Settings icon in the menu at the bottom of the page and then tap “Log out”

Verify performance dates
If there are no performances available on the app, sign in to Arts People on your computer select Box Office > Box Office Sales, and verify that you have a performance in the next 7 days. The Ticket Scanner app will only display performances coming up in the next week.
Scanning an Unscanned ticket displays "Uh Oh... Ticket(s) already scanned."
If you experience a "Ticket(s) already scanned" message, check that the ticket was from a Door Sale. By default, all Door Sale tickets are marked as scanned after they are sold. To change the default "marked as scanned" Door Sale setting, navigate to Setup - Privileged - Global Settings - Ticketing - "Count door tickets as scanned?", uncheck the box, and Save. (Access to the Global Settings and the available Global Settings options vary depending on your account level.)
Thanks - and have fun scanning!
