Images Shows and Performances
1) The "Image for web" field (top image field on the Shows and Performances setup screen) is the image that will display on the public pages. This image can be any standard image for the web, such as JPG, GIF, PNG. We recommend 150 dpi (dots per inch) resolution, as this will load fastest on the internet, and we recommend about 250 pixels wide to fit well on the screen. If your images are all the same dimensions it will look best on the public page when you have a list of shows on sale.
2) The "Image for Ticket" field (2nd image field on the Shows and Performances setup screen) is the image that will display on the printed letter-sized ticket that patrons print at home and that many of our clients use from their box office as well. This image MUST BE a JPG file. We recommend 150dpi and 250 pixels wide so it displays well on the ticket. Again, consistency is key so that you know the space provided on the ticket is adequate for your image.
3) The maximum filesize for either of these is 2MB. Please note that in most cases, 2MB would be a very large image. Larger file sizes will slow down the page upload.
To edit your photos, you can use photo editing software such as Photoshop, which is highly advanced, or you can use simpler software that is likely already on your computer. Please see Software Recommendations for more suggestions.
