For this example, Let’s create a conditional donation appreciation letter, for a giving Tuesday campaign. When a donor donates to your giving Tuesday campaign, you will create a custom donation appreciation letter.
1. Select the Settings Cog. Then, select Global Settings from the drop-down menu.
2. Scroll down to the communications section. Below the Transaction Acknowledgements header, select System Letters.
3. On this page, select the Donation tab to reveal all system letters related to donations. In the Donation Appreciation link from the row.
4. Locate the Conditions section and select the New Condition button.
5. On the new condition pop-up, enter a condition name. You will name the condition according to the donation type. Select the letter version you want to be sent for donations related to your giving Tuesday campaign. Select view version to see a preview of the version that is selected. You can also tell Neon CRM not to send a letter to the merge queue when the condition is met. We want the conditional letter to be sent so you will leave this box unchecked.
Next, set up the condition so Neon CRM knows when to send the selected letter.
Under criterion, select campaign from the field. In the next field, enter equal. Lastly, select giving Tuesday within the value field.
You may set up as many conditions for a single System letter as you like.
In this example, you are only using one condition.
When finished, select Create Condition.
