Neon CRM Release Notes - October 19th, 2024

This page details the new functionality, changes, and fixes included in the October 19th, 2024 Neon CRM product updates. 

New:

System Emails

  • New Email Builder Experience: We've completely redesigned the experience of managing and creating System Emails. System Emails now have all of the same tools and content editing capabilities present in Campaign Emails! 
  • Redesigned System Emails List: New tabbed view separated by email category for easier navigation. 
  • Updated System Email Pages:
    • New-and-improved appearance to clearly present each email's info and settings at a glance.
      • The System Email & Letter Defaults page in Global Settings has been removed. You'll now manage your preferences for when to send emails on each email's page. 
    • Conditions - More Options & Better Management: We've added many highly-requested conditions for improved segmenting, including custom fields, Next Gen Events support, options for recurring donors and submembers of group memberships, and more! 
    • Improved Schedules: We've updated the experience of configuring schedule-based emails for easier management.

System Letters

  • New System Letter Builder Experience: Completely redesigned letter creation process, including drag & drop content block editing, a QR code content block, page break tool, 3-column layout option, margin settings and inline rulers, and more! 
  • Redesigned System Letters List: New tabbed view separated by letter category for easier navigation. 
  • Updated System Letter Pages:
    • New-and-improved appearance to clearly present each letter's info and settings at a glance.
      • The System Email & Letter Defaults page in Global Settings has been removed. You'll now manage your preferences for when to generate letters on each letter's page. 
    • Conditions - More Options & Better Management: We've added many highly-requested conditions for improved segmenting, including the ability to only generate a letter if an email address is not available! 
  • Letter Themes: Updated letter template (header & footer) builder, similar to Email Themes. 

Volunteer

  • Redesigned Volunteer Groups: Updated look and feel for Volunteer Group pages.
  • Add Volunteers to Shifts: We've updated the process of adding volunteers to Opportunities, so you can now directly add them to Shifts at the same time.
    • To add a volunteer who is already assigned to an Opportunity to a Shift, use the bulk action or single action within the Volunteers table of the Opportunity page.
  • Texting Support: You can now send text messages via the Volunteers List as well as on specific Opportunity and Group pages.
  • Volunteer Roles are now available in reports and workflows alongside existing volunteer data. 

API

Fixed:

  • Fixed an issue where the Saved Report Widget listed the wrong report type for some reports. 
  • Fixed an issue where the Donation Detail Report search criterion "Email is Blank" could return unexpected results. 
  • Fixed an issue where custom field values containing apostrophes were not saved on the Membership Directory Profile page in the Constituent Login Portal.
  • Various behind-the-scenes bug fixes and performance enhancements.
  • Various wording fixes and revisions.
