This page details the new functionality, changes, and fixes included in the September 21st, 2024 Neon CRM product updates.

New:

We've renamed Projects to Opportunities across the admin side of Neon CRM.
Updated creation flow guides you through the process of setting up your Opportunity.
- New: Set maximum volunteers needed; disable Mileage & Expenses tracking
Create Shifts below an Opportunity for specific time slots.
Tag your needed Roles for the Opportunity or specific Shifts (see the section below!).
Redesigned Opportunity page displays information you need at a glance.
- New: In the Volunteers section, click "Add" to run an All Accounts Report and quickly link accounts as volunteers
When creating a Next Gen Event, you can now automatically create a linked Opportunity and Shifts linked to the Event and its Occurrences.
- Quickly navigate between the Event and Opportunity via links on both pages.

Go to Volunteer > Volunteer Roles to create tags based on your organization's volunteer needs.
- Assign colors to make these tags visually distinctive on Opportunities and Accounts.
A custom user group permission, "Manage Volunteer Roles", is available to restrict access to this page.

Opportunity (Project) is no longer required for entering Time Sheets, allowing you to enter one-off Time Sheets to track volunteer hours, mileage, and expenses for accounts without linking them to a Opportunities.
Enter Time Sheets for Shifts and Roles to track your volunteers' efforts.
Copy Time Sheets: Quickly create a copy of an existing Time Sheet and make changes.
Time Sheet Notes by Day: When entering notes, you can now select a specific date; the note will appear underneath this date when viewing the time sheet.

Note: Impacted Neon CRM users were previously notified via email and in-product announcement. Please see this guide for detailed information regarding what is changing.
Due to changing payment industry security requirements, Neon CRM must make some security updates to the payment form experience in specific situations.
These security updates will be made automatically and no action is required on your part.
Impacted Neon CRM users will see a new setting under Global Settings > Payments & Transactions > Set Payment Theme to optionally control the appearance of affected payment pages.

You can now mark donations & pledges as Reviewed or Unreviewed in bulk via checkboxes on the Donations & Pledges list.

We've updated the experience of uploading a profile or membership directory photo to include a drag and drop selection and preview before saving.
