Add an Access Denied Page
The Access Denied page is what displays when users land on a page to which they do not have access, either because they are not logged into an account or do not have a membership level that allows them to view a restricted page.
To add an Access Denied page:
- Select the Pages tab from the left panel.
- Scroll down to the Membership Pages section and select the Access Denied Page button.
On the page that displays, you can edit the page content that will display when users navigate to a page they are not permitted to access.
To edit the text:
- Select the text field and type the text you want to display. For example, “You don't have the right permission to access this page. To become a member and get full access to this page, sign up for a membership plan.”
- Use the text editor options to format the text as desired.
- When you are finished, select the green checkmark at the right of the text editor options to save your changes.
To add additional text:
- Select the Widgets tab in the left panel.
- Drag the Text widget onto the page where you would like to add the text.
- Type the text you want to display on the page, then select the green checkmark to save your changes.
Note: You can add additional content to your Access Denied page such as images, icons, etc. using the Widgets tab.
Add a "Join Now" Button
You can add a “Join Now” button to the Access Denied page so users with limited access can sign up to become a member and extend their access. The Access Denied page includes a sample button, which you can edit and link to a membership form.
To edit the button:
- Select the Join Now button on the Access Denied page. The Button Content menu displays.
- If desired, replace the text in the Text on Button field with the button text you would like to display. For example, “Become a Member.”
- You can use the Design tab at the top of the Button Content menu to change the style of the button.
To link the button to a membership form that will open when users click the button:
- In a new browser window, log into Neon CRM and open the Neon CRM app.
- In the navigation bar at the top of the screen, select Forms & Pages, and then select Forms on the drop-down menu.
- Find the membership form you want to link on the page and select the Copy Form URL link. You can use the Search field to help you find the form, if needed.
- Return to Neon Websites. In the Select where button links to section of the Button Content menu, select the Website URL radio button.
- Paste the membership form URL you copied.
- Select the X at the top-right of the Button Content menu to close it.
The button is linked now to the selected membership form.
Publish an Access Denied Page
Once you have finished adding content on your Access Denied page, publish it so that users can view the page.
To publish an Access Denied page:
- Select the Pages tab from the left panel. Scroll down to the Membership Pages section.
- Select the gear icon on the Access Denied Page button and select Publish Page.
- Select Yes to confirm that you want to publish the page.
The Access Denied page is now added to your website's menu to provide instructions for users who do not have access to a page.
