Renewing a Membership without Sub-Members
To renew a membership without sub-members:
1. In the Search field at the top of the page, search for the constituent whose membership you wish to renew.
2. Select the constituent in the drop-down that appears.
3. Select Memberships in the left menu on the constituent's account page.
At this point, there are two possible situations: 1) the previous membership has expired, and 2) the previous membership is still active but nearing its term end date. There is a slight difference in how to proceed with the renewal process between these two situations. Both situations are explained below.
Situation 1: The previous membership has expired
You will see the previous membership listed in the Inactive Memberships section.
4. Select Create Membership and then select Renew Membership on the drop-down menu.
Proceed to Step 5 below.
Situation 2: The previous membership is still active but nearing its term end date
If the previous membership has not yet expired, you will see the active membership listed on the Memberships page.
4. Select the three dot Action Menu in the active membership and then select Renew Membership on the drop-down menu.
Proceed to Step 5.
On the Membership: Create page, the same Membership Term and Membership Level from the previous membership will be automatically selected for the renewal membership. The Membership Term, however, will now have "(Renew)" after its name. Additionally, the Term Start Date and Term End Date will pre-fill as applicable. You may make changes to any of this information, as applicable to the situation. (Please note: Any changes you make to this information, such as changing the Term Fee, will NOT change the overall Membership Levels and Terms for all memberships; it will only change the Membership Level and/or Term for this constituent's membership.)
5. Make any needed changes to the Membership Information and/or Tax-Deductible Information for the renewal on the Membership: Create page and then select Add Membership.
6. At the top of the Summary page, if you wish to send a transaction acknowledgement, select Email or Mail Merge, as applicable.
7. At the bottom of the Summary page, enter the Payment information provided for this membership renewal and then select Save Payment.
The membership is now renewed. On the Membership page that appears, you can see the constituent's membership renewal information. If you wish, on the Membership page, you may select the constituent's name (as seen in the image below). This link will open the constituent's account page.
