Last year, we redesigned the fundraiser email flow to be more modern and user friendly. As fundraisers used the new email experience, we received feedback on best ways to improve it even further.
In response, we have implemented updates the fundraiser email flow that aim to reduce complexity and confusion in the new flow. Our hope is that these improvements streamline the experience for your fundraisers, making the process of sending emails even easier and more intuitive.
Please continue reading for the full list of changes, all of which apply to the fundraiser email flow, which can be found in the Email tab of the Fundraiser Dashboard.
Consolidation of Steps
We have reduced the number of steps to compose an email, so that now fundraisers can select their audience and compose their email all in a single window.
Additionally, help text has been added to the Template Selection field to clarify to the user what that field is for.
Email Name and Description
Whereas previously users were required to enter email name (with description being an additional optional field), we have removed the email name and description fields entirely, eliminating a step in the process that was frustrating for many users.
Correspondingly, in the Sent Emails list, subject line—instead of email name—will be used to identify emails.
Email Template Creation
In the New Template flow, help text has been added to clarify to the user where their template can be found in the Compose email flow.
