Instructions
Neon CCM is a relational database that allows you to connect different types of records by creating relationships between them, and then generate reports that include data within both of those records. Relationships are tracked within Neon CCM between various accounts.
There are several types of relationships that can be tracked:
- Households
- Persons
- Organizations
- Contacts
Creating Relationships
- To create a relationship, select a record. For this example, the record is located under the Youth tab.
- Select the person’s name within the table.
- Next, select the Relationships tab within the record.
- In this record, you have the option to add a new organization relationship or contact relationship. For this example, the person’s record will connect to a contact record. Select Add New Relationship.
- Then, select the Select button. A list of contacts will appear. Select Choose Contact from the Contact Row in which you wish to create a relationship.
- Next, within the Contact Relation To Client drop-down, select the relationship.
- When finished, select Submit.
The new relationship displays in the Contact Relationship section. Once a relationship is created, you can see data from both records and their respective relationship tabs. You now have the option to use data from these relationships in your reporting tool.
For example, you could create a report that shows the states that all the people related to an organization live in.
Note: If you are unable to access this feature in your CCM, it is possible Neon CCM can add the functionality through an upgrade. If this is something you are interested in, have your system’s support contact inquire through a support ticket.
