Summary
The User Profile is where every Neon One User can manage their personal information across their organizations and Neon apps. Only Users can reach their own User Profile page.
Access
The User Profile is reached via the My Profile link in the navigation dropdown in Neon Portal.
The profile page has two types of information: User fields and Contact fields.
User Definition: your User record is what allows your email address to login to Neon One products (CRM, Pay, AP, etc.)
Contact Definition: your Contact record contains your information for a particular organization. If your email is in use at multiple organizations, you will have multiple Contact records.
While someone else cannot reach your User Profile, an administrator for your organization could edit your name, job title, and phone number via the Organization Profile.
User Fields
The information in the "My Information" section is all User fields. These are name, email, and time zone.
"User fields" means these three fields are the same across all of your Contacts. This means that if you login to more than one organization, then your name and time zone will be the same across all of your organizations.
Contact Fields
Some of your information can vary across your organizations. This info makes up your Contact fields, and it is collected in organization-specific panels on the User Profile. This means that if you login to more than one organization, you can provide a unique phone number and job title for each.
FAQ
