Endurance Challenges + pledges is a great way to bring out fundraisers' best effort by engaging them in an endurance activity to help boost their advocacy and, in turn, increase their fundraising. Once a fundraiser has begun receiving endurance pledges, they will begin appearing in various places so users can track progress. We've outlined the various places different users can view and manage pledges.
Site Visitors
All visitors to a campaign site can view endurance pledge activity on fundraising pages. Pledges and amounts raised are displayed in the dedicated endurance progress widget in the page sidebar. Please note that by default these widgets don't show until the fundraiser (or a team member) logs endurance activity towards their goal.
The widget displays individual pledges per unit of activity and the total pledged so far including all pledge amounts multiplied by the units completed. If an endurance challenge has an end date, the fundraising page endurance progress widget will display a countdown timer.
Once a pledge is ended, it will be displayed in the pledges list in gray indicating that it will no longer increase the total pledge amount for additional activities, and an entry will be added to the recent donations list in the total amount of the pledge towards the fundraiser.
Fundraisers
In addition to the above locations, which users of all kinds can access, fundraisers can track their endurance pledges made to their page in their Fundraiser Dashboard tab titled with the name of the Endurance Challenge.
Administrators
The primary way to view endurance pledges is in the Admin, under Transactions > Endurance Pledges. In this grid, administrators can:
- View all ended, active, and future pledges
- Filter grid to view desired pledges, export to CSV
- Create new pledges (click here for more)
- End active pledges
- Delete pledges that are ended and have no donations associated with them
Admin Reports
Various aspects of endurance pledges can be reported on using prefab reports in the Reports tab in the Admin.
Donations Reports
In donation reports, administrators can track:
- The Endurance Pledge ID of an associated donation after the pledge is ended
This column is available in all the following Donations reports:
- Donations
- Donations - All Campaigns
- Donations - Entire Org
- Donations with Causes
- Donations with Tribute Notifications
Transactions and Credit Card Reports
Administrators can track pledge donations and credit payments in the Transactions and Credit Card Payments reports. Only online pledge payments (excluding those entered through the Admin) appear in the latter reports. Pledge payments include a Pledge ID and the transaction type "Credit Charge".
These transactions appear in the following reports:
- Transactions
- Transactions - All Campaigns
- Transactions - Entire Org
- Credit Card Payments
- Credit Card Payments - All Campaigns
Note: when reconciling, be sure to subtract the credit charge amounts, so that the donations + payment are not double-counted.
Endurance Pledges Report
In this report, administrators can view all pledges in a campaign and their related information, including donor information, pledge amounts and limits, statuses and stats.
CRM Sync
As explained here, at the end of an endurance pledge, one donation per recipient is generated in the amount pledged for that recipient. Those donations are synced to CRM individually as opportunities (note that if there are multiple recipients there will be multiple donations even if there's only one credit transaction payment charged).
Supported integrations: currently, pledges only sync to Salesforce.
