Custom Fields
For many of your events you will need to set default fields that will display on your registration form. If there is not a default field that meets your needs, Neon CRM allows you to create customized fields.
1. Navigate to Events and select Events.
2. Select your event from the list.
3. The event details page opens for the event you selected. In the Event Custom Fields section, select New Event Specific Field.
4. In the custom field information page, the Display Name and Display Type fields are required. Your options will change depending on what Display Type you select. For this example, we will use the Radio display type. Add or delete the options you would like to display in the Available field options. To make these options visible on the public website and constituent login, check the boxes next to the field options.
5. To allow this question to display on our registration form, change the dropdown to Yes next to Do you need to ask each attendee this question? You can enter the information that you want to display for the public or constituent login. When finished. Select Save and Continue.
6. This page allows you to order the fields how you would like them to be viewed. This is important if there is a series of questions that need to be answered in a specific order. Drag and drop fields to reorder. When finished, select Submit.
Set Default Fields
Back on the event details page, you can see the field you created under the Event Custom Fields section.
1. You may want to verify which system defined fields are selected because they do not always apply to the information that you want to gather. To verify these types of fields, select Event Custom Fields.
2. The Event Custom Fields page shows all the system defined fields. You can select or deselect the checkboxes for any of the fields on this list. At the bottom of the page, there is a section for Event Custom Fields. When finished, select Submit.
3. You can reorder your display sequence here by dragging and dropping the fields. When finished, select Submit.
4. You can also reorder your fields from the event detail page by selecting, Reorder Display Sequence.
