Using Exclude From Results in a Report
For this example, you need to create a report that finds all individuals who are volunteers, but are not any other type of individual within Neon CRM; such as event sponsor, student, or board member. Since individual type is a field allowing multiple selections this requires use of Exclude From Results. This method will ensure that individuals only have volunteers as their individual type and are included in the report , and volunteers that have other individual types are excluded.
1. Navigate to Reports and Select New Report.
2. Select All Accounts Report.
3. Select Edit Criteria.
4. For the search field, select Individual Type in the basic field group. For operator, select Equal. Select Volunteer in the value field. Select Exclude From Results.
5. For the exclusion field, select Individual Type in the basic field group. For operator, select In Range Of. Select Board Member, Event Sponsor, Former Board Member, Journalist, Major Donor, and Students in the value field. Select Load Criteria.
Note: Neon CRM automatically added the account type field to both the search group and exclude from results criteria since individual type is always tied to account type fields being set to individual.
6. Select Run Report.
7. You now have a report that lists the individuals that only have volunteer as their individual type since we excluded all the other types.
