Using Search Groups in a Report
For this example, you need to obtain a list of event sponsors. It can be either individuals or companies. This includes companies that also have the company type of Nonprofit Partner. To accomplish this, you will need to utilize search groups.
1. Navigate to Reports and Select New Report.
2. Select All Accounts Report.
3. Select Edit Criteria.
4. For the search field, select Individual Type in the basic field group. For operator, select Equal. Select Event Sponsor in the value field. Select Add Search Group.
5. For the search field, select Company Type in the basic field group. For operator, select In Range Of. Select Event Sponsor and Nonprofit Partner in the value field. Select Load Criteria.
Note: Neon CRM automatically added the account type field to both search groups and set the criteria according to whether the field you selected for each search group was individual type or company type.
6. Select Run Report.
7. In this report you should see a mix of individual and company account types.
